Responsibilities

Maintains custody of all Township records; maintains general ledger; prepares warrants for township checks; records and maintains township meeting minutes; keeps the township book of oaths; responsible for special meeting notices; keeps voter registration records and conducts elections; keeps township ordinance books; prepares financial statements; delivers tax certificates to the supervisor and county clerk by September 30th; must post a surety bond.  The elected clerk must appoint a deputy clerk.

Elections and Ballots

To become a registered voter please visit any Secretary of State Office or contact the Dover Township Clerk.

To request an absentee ballot, contact the Dover Township Clerk. Upon receipt of your application, a ballot will be mailed to you. The absentee ballot must be in the Township Clerk's possession no later than 8 PM on Election Day.
